"The intensification of livestock systems requires greater volume and quality of forage and grain per unit area, the use of mixtures with cereals would be an option in order to know the effects in terms of quantity of forage dry matter, control of pests and / or diseases, the use of nutrients, that is why the present work had for object, Evaluate competition in mixtures with other oat cereal forage production and grain with different proportions north of Mexico, using four lines of wheat AN-326-09, AN-268-99, AN-220-09, AN-239-99, a line of barley, (NARRO-95), generated by UAAAN, and a variety of triticale (ERONGA-83) released by INIFAP and a variety of oats Cuauhtemoc; the production of forage was established in four furrows in mixture of genotype and oats latter predominating in densities 100% (of each genotype), 75:25 (oat-genotype) 50:50 and 25:75 (oat-genotype) in three repetition; the fodder cutting was held from April 20 to May 5, 2011 where determined the weight of each component as stem, leaf, spike dry matter in grain production was assessed volumetricweight, thousand kernel weight and performance. The data were analyzed in a statistical model factorial randomized block subsample; the weight variable of stem, leaf, spike, dry matter, production, thousand kernel weight and volumetric weight in oats, genotypes of small grains, found that the genotypes as the applied portions in production and genotypes by the interaction portions, there was a highly significant difference, except variables in quantification of proteins where no differences between genotypes, concluding that the blends with oats, the best behavior were in wheat AN-268-99 in weight of stem and volumetric weight; wheat AN-239-99 in the leaf weight, barley achieving the greatest results dry matter and spike weight, being even better than oats as a monoculture in these variables; Triticale exceeded to all in production and thousand kernel weight. The oat mixture, presented the best results in combination with barley in the variable, stalk weight, leaf, spike and volumetric weight; whereas triticale gave the highest dry matter production. In combination with wheat AN-326-09 was the best grain yield and with AN-220-09 in thousand-grain weight, this behavior is reflected in the three proportions evaluated"
