"The objectives of the present research work were to determine the genetic effects and the level of heterosis in 15 F1 and F2 hybrids of Triticale (X Triticosecale W.) for grain yield and its components, their agronomic quality characteristics and physiological seed quality and to determine the effect of the environment-genotype interaction on the yield and quality of seed, as well as the x heterosis and endogamic depression. There were used 15 F1 and F2 hybrids and their six parents, two of spring habit, two intermediate and two winter intermediate, all developed by the Triticale Breeding Cereals of Small Grain Program of the Department of plant breeding of the Universidad Autonoma Agraria Antonio Narro, with the exception of the spring habit Eronga-83 variety. The evaluated agronomic characteristics were: ear length (LE), number of grains by ear (NGE), grain yield (R), thousand seeds weight (PMS) and hectolitric weight (PH); also it was evaluated the standard germination (GE), average plumule length (LMP), radicle length (LR) and plantule dry weight (PS) in the F1 and F2 production cycles. The generated information was analyzed using the DIALLEL-SAS.05 program, proposed by Zhang et al. (2005) by the method II of Griffing (1956), that evaluates the parents and the direct crosses, considering the general combinatory aptitude (ACG) and specific (ACE) of the parents and their crosses. The results demostrated that in the majority of the studied variables, the F1 turned out to be superior to the F2, due to that in the F1 the maximum “hybrid vigor” was expressed, on the other hand there were F2 hybrids that expressed positive heterosis for some of the studied variables. The additive genetic effects predominated in the F1 for genotypes (GEN) in PH, PMS, GE, LMP, LP and PS with 59, 60, 53, 82, 73 and 88 % respectively, being in greater proportion for the physiological variables in the Eronga and AN-105 parents, predominating mainly the dominance effects in the variables LE with 85 %, NGE and LR with more than 60 %, being the hybrids AN-38 x Eronga, AN-34 x Eronga, AN-34 x AN-125, AN-38 x AN-105, AN-34 x AN-105 and AN-31 x AN xi 105 those that had superior ACE; in the F2 there were additive and dominance effects that acted in an equitable way between genotypes (GEN), predominating the additive ones in the agronomic characteristics and the dominance in the physiological traits; for the additive there were PH, R, PMS, LMP and LP (80, 78, 63, 84 and 80 %, respectively), being AN-125, AN-34 and Eronga the most outstanding parents. As far as those for dominance LE, NGE, GE, LR and PS with 62, 82, 63, 62 and 60 % respectively, obtaining the best values the AN-38 x Eronga, AN-34 x Eronga, AN-31 x AN-105 and AN-34 x AN-38 hybrids. For heterosis in the F1, there were identified the best hybrids in NGE: (AN-31 x AN 34), PH: (AN-34 x Eronga), PMS: (AN-34 x AN-105) and GE: (AN-31 x AN-125); in the F2 the best results were observed in NGE: (AN-38 x Eronga), PH: (AN 125 x Eronga), R: (AN-31 x AN-38), PMS: (AN-31 x Eronga) and GE: (AN-34 x Eronga). Also there were identified the crosses with greater endogamic depression for NGE: (AN-105 x AN-125), PH: (AN-34 x AN-38), PMS: (AN-38 x AN-125), GE: (AN-34 x AN-125). In relation to the environment-genotype interaction, yield did not show statistical differences; however all the physiological variables had highly significant differences, having these different behaviors when interacting in diverse environments.
