"The treatment with fungicides preserves the physiological and sanitary quality from the seeds, being necessary to know the effectiveness and dose made suitable to assure its efficacy during storage. In this investigation we evaluated the effect of the fungicides, Captan, Thiram and Carbendazim to two doses each one on the physiological and sanitary quality of seeds Pinus pseudostrobus and Pinus cembroides stored with temperature and relative humidity 4ºC and 40-60 %; 4º C and 70-100 % and in natural conditions. We sampled at the 0, 30, 60, 90, 120 and 150 days the standard germination, dry weight of plants, abnormal plants, dead seeds, hard seeds and sanitary seed. The experimental design that we used was completely at random, with four replications with split plot array, taking into account environment, samplings and treatments as big plot, medium and small respectively, the media comparison was carried out with the DMS test. The results evidence that the physiological and sanitary quality of the seed was affected by the fungicide, the used dose and the conditions of the environment of storage according to the species that was belonging that seed. In the lot seeds Pinus cembroides the best treatment was Captan 1000 gr.ia/T. It got the higher percentage of germination, it also presented a better control on the storage fungi. For the lot of seeds in Pinus pseudostrobus the treatment with fungicide was unnecessary. There was not fungi incidence the control was the best treatment. In Pinus cembroides the environment one with the fungicide Captan 1000 gr.ia/t. the was the most effective it had 90 % percentage of germination presented the 150 days, and the quality sanitary the best treatment was Captan, the environment didn´t have any effect however for Pinus pseudostrobus the best environment was one to preserve the seed quality"
