"Was evaluated the anthelmintic effect of the Larrea tridentata extract, using 28 goats subjected to FAMACHA, housed individually and randomly distributed in six experimental groups: T1 (positive control) ivermectin®; T2 (0.50 g / kg B.W.) Larrea tridentata extract; T3 (1.00); T4 (1.50.); T5 (2.00) and T6 (2.5), samples were taken on day 0 and on days 7, 14 and 21 post-treatment. Data were subjected to a variance and Tuckey analysis. There was no significant difference (P> 0.05) at day 0 (2020 to 2925 hpg), no statistical differences were observed (P> 0.05) in the count on day 7 and all treatments presented counts above 800 hpg. However, by day 14 differences are already observed between treatments (P <0.05), where both ivermectin (460 hpg) and the infusion of 1.5 g / Kg BW (720 hpg) achieved important reductions (78 and 68%, respectively), in the same way, for day 21 post application, differences are observed between treatments (P <0.05), both the positive control (Ivermectin) and the treatments with 1.5, 2.0 and 2.5 g / Kg of BW presented important reductions in the infestation (94, 72, 70 and 73%, respectively). It is concluded that the extract of Larrea tridentata on the parasite load in goats presents positive results from day 14 post-treatment, but they were even better on day 21. Based on these results we can say that the dose of 1.5 g / kg of live weight of aqueous extract of Larrea tridentata in goats favors the elimination of NGI"
