"The objective of this work was to quantify the magnitude of the genotype x environment interaction and its effect on the behavior of 90 single crosses formed by the mating of 10 dwarf lines with nine normal precocious lines (testers) of the Universidad Autonóma Agraria Antonio Narro (UAAAN) evaluated in Juventino Rosas, Gto., Tlahuelilpan, Hgo. and El Prado, Galeana, N.L. during the spring of 2006. A design of complete blocks was used at random with two repetitions per site and a furrow's experimental plot of land. The combinatorial aptitude of lines, testers and crosses per site were estimated for the variable performance of corn ear (t ha-1) to be analyzed in a combined form by the AMMI model to appreciate the genotype x environment interaction through bi-plot graphs. The selection of the genetic material was based on genetic potential and stability through bi-plot graphs. The results suggested significant differences in crosses, due to the ample genetic dwarf and precocious variability of the groups. The genotype x environment interaction presented significant differences when considering performance, general combinatorial and specific aptitude of the lines of both groups. Bi-plot graphs of the AMMI model showed a crossed interaction among the three evaluated sites, although they had the same discriminatory power. Crossbreeds 31, 26, 59, 5, 49, 86, 37, 25, 68 and 17; lines 9, 4, 7 and 8 and testers 15 and 11 were the ones with better genetic expression and stability for performance"
