The objective was to evaluate an analysis of growth of grass Mulato II (hybrid Urochloa) by varying the intensity and obtaining the optimal cutting moment in the dry and rainy season. The evaluated variables were: forage yield, morphological composition, plant density, plant height and intercepted relationship. The best dry matter yieldwas obtained at 56 days in rain, at an intensity of 15 cm, 1,820 kg DM ha-1andthe lowest at 7 days of regrowth in the dry season, with intensity 10 cm and a yield of 200 kg DM ha-1. The highest plant density was in the dry season
and lowest in rain with 9.5 and 8.5 plants m-2, respectively. 95% of intercepted radiation was obtained at 70 cm of plant height, in the rainy season, at 15 cm of cutting intensity and with 42 days of regrowth.
Objetive: To analyze forage estimations with the direct method and the plant height.
Design/methodology/approach: The treatments were the plants age, assessed in a random block design. Simple linear
regressions were carried out and adjusted using the SPSS statistical software.
La productividad de una especie forrajera puede ser descrita en términos del comportamiento de sus componentes morfológicos y la combinación con el ente en la pradera. El objetivo fue evaluar el comportamiento productivo de trébol pata de pájaro (L. corniculatus), bajo diferentes estrategias de defoliación. El experimento se llevó acabo en el Colegio de Postgraduados de septiembre 2015 a septiembre de 2016, en un diseño de bloques al azar, con tres repeticiones, con la hipótesis, que al cosechar la especie al 95% de luz interceptada (LI) se tiene un mejor comportamiento productivo. Un intervalo de corte fijo (CF), tuvo menor producción en invierno (3 441 kg MS ha-1), verano (5
024 kg MS ha-1) y anual acumulado (20 710 kg MS ha-1), respecto al resto de los tratamientos (26 689 kg MS ha-1, promedio anual). También, manifestó menor altura de planta (21 vs 26 cm, promedio en la LI).

El objetivo fue determinar el efecto en intervalos de corte sobre el rendimiento de materia seca, relación hoja-tallo, proteína y digestibilidad in situ en hoja y tallo de alfalfa cv `San Miguelito¿, en el Altiplano Mexicano. Se establecieron cuatro intervalos de corte (3, 4, 5 y 6 semanas para
primavera-verano y 4, 5, 6 y 7 semanas para otoño-invierno) distribuidos aleatoriamente bajo un diseño experimental completamente al azar, con 4 repeticiones.
Alfalfa (Medicago sativa L.) is the most commonly used legume forage in the diet of dairy cattle in the United States
and Mexico. The objective of this research was to evaluate the productive response of five alfalfa varieties with defined
cutting intervals seasonally. The research was conducted from June 2010 to June 2011 in the Colegio de Postgraduados, Mexico. Commercial varieties evaluated were: San Miguelito, Jupiter, Atlixco, Via lacteal and Cuf 101, which were randomly distributed into 20 experimental plots of 12 x 9 m, according to a randomized complete block with four replications. The variables evaluated were: growth rate, intercepted radiation, leaf area index and plant height. Jupiter and Cuf 101 varieties with 56 and 37 kg DM ha-1 d-1 recorded the highest and lowest growth rate, respectively.

Ruminant production in the tropics is based primarily on native and introduced grass (Poaceae) grazing. The effect of the regrowth age and cutting intensity of Brachiaria hybrid cv Cobra grass was evaluated, and the nutritional value when varying the frequency and intensity of 10 and 15 cm of cutting in the dry season. The study period was from January 19 to March 30, 2017. The variables were dry matter yield, morphological composition, raw protein (RP), neutral detergent fiber (NDF), and acid detergent fiber (ADF). The highest yield was obtained after 56 days in the intensity of 15 cm with 2550 kg MS ha¿1; however, the highest volume of leaves was reached at 35 days with 1200 kg MS ha¿1. The maximum content of Cobra grass RP was in the frequency at seven days with 19.3% in the leaf
component, decreasing as the evaluation time went by. The NDF and ADF content increased with the age of the regrowth.
Objective: The objective was to evaluate different scarification treatments to improve germination in chepil seeds
(Crotalaria longirostrata Hook. & Arn.). Design/Methodology/Approach: The study was established in the School of Veterinary Medicine and Zootechnics N. 2 of the Universidad Autónoma de Guerrero. The chepil seeds were weighed and counted; 2 experiments were established through a CRD with 4 treatments of 4 repetitions each. Imbibition and germination were evaluated. The data were analyzed with the statistical software package SAS® 9.0.

The study was carried out in Montecillo, Texcoco, Estado de México, from September 2014 to September 2015. The objective was to estimate the fodder potential of Lotus corniculatus L., with different management strategies, depending on the percentage of light intercepted (LI) and a fixed cut (FC) defined seasonally. The treatments were established in a random block design, with three repetitions. Between treatments, no differences were present in the annual accumulation of fodder, or in the different seasons, except for fall, when the FC yielded 43 % less than the 100 % LI (3,386 vs 5,922 kg MS ha¿1 ). In the botanical and morphological composition, between treatments, only the stem presented differences in annual accumulation.

Objective: The objective of this research was to obtain the optimum cutting moment of the red clover by varying the
cutting frequency in the spring season. Design/methodology/approach: The treatments were cuts at different ages (eight weeks) in the spring season. The variables studied were: forage accumulation, botanical and morphological composition, foliar area per stem and photosynthesis. The statistical analysis of the data obtained was performed with the GLM procedure of the SAS statistical package. The results obtained in yield of dry matter showed an increase as the age of regrowth advanced, in week 8, 5013 kg MS ha¿1 total were obtained, resulting in the maximum value registered.
