Kent, Keitt y Ataúlfo, debido a sus características de sabor, aroma y tamaño.
In Mexico, mango (Mangifera indica L.) crop have a big economical impact. Main cultivars for export due to their characteristics of flavor, aroma and size are, as follows: Tommy Atkins, Haden, Kent, Keitt and Ataúlfo. Even when in Mexico harvest occurs from January to September, about 70 % of the production is concentrated in June and July.
El objetivo de este estudio fue evaluar parámetros de fertilidad y prolificidad de cabras (Capra aegagrus hircus) servidas por monta natural, a las que posteriormente les fue transferido un embrión. Esto para estudiar el efecto de estos embriones transferidos en receptoras servidas anticipadamente sobre el reconocimiento materno e implantación. Este trabajo se llevó a cabo en el Centro de Estudios Profesionales del Colegio Superior Agropecuario del Estado de Guerrero en Cocula, Guerrero, México. This study evaluate parameters of fertility and prolificacy of goats (Capra aegagrus hircus) served by natural mating, to which were later transferred an embryo in order to study effect of these transferred embryos into recipient served early on maternal recognition and implementation. El árbol de linaloe (Burcera linanone) es productor natural de linalool; sin embargo, no se ha estudiado la presencia de otros volátiles en los diferentes órganos de la planta. Por ello, el objetivo de esta investigación fue determinar cualitativamente metabolitos secundarios tales como terpenos, fenoles y saponinas. The linaloe tree (Burcera linanone) is a producer of natural linalool, but presence of other volatiles in different organs of the plant are not studied at this time. In Mexico, there are several types of wild and criollo avocados that constitute a genetic heritage of this species; these avocados currently grow in an unordered manner on farmer's lands and in backyards, and they need to be studied as they are being lost because of agricultural activities and edaphoclimatic and phytosanitary factors. On the other hand, in orchards and avocado nurseries, high amounts of chemical fertilizers and pesticides are used affecting the physicochemical and microbiological properties of the soil, modifying the flora and fauna and polluting aquifers and springs that cause health problems among consumers.
The study was conducted in the village of Filo de Caballos, municipality of Leonardo Bravo, Guerrero, Mexico, from November 2011 to October 2012, in an orchard of Hass avocado, 5 years old. The objective was to evaluate the treatment of chemical and organic nutrition of avocado trees; fertilizers used were: 50 kg tree of cattle dung (manure); 200-100-200 kg ha-1 of N-P-K (edaphic) and 30-10-15.30 kg ha-1 of Ca-Mg-B (foliar). We found that in buds, treatment manure + edaphic + foliar (41 shoots/branch) was better than treatments manure + edaphic (19 shoots/branch), leaf (9 shoots/branch) and the control (21 shoots/branch). And with 17 fruits, manure + treatment + foliar edaphic significantly exceeded the edaphic + foliar treatments (6 fruits), leaf (1 fruit) and the control (3 fruits). The manure + foliar treatment had the highest length (16 cm) of the main shoot, beating the treatment of manure + edaphic (7 cm) and leaf (9 cm). The edaphic + foliar treatment (75 cm2 ) had higher leaf area than control (65 cm2 ) and had the highest fruit weight 2.62 kg with 10 fruits, which was significantly higher than the control (1.51 kg 10 fruits).
Worldwide, Mexico represents the first exporter of mango. However, in recent years mango exports have decreased by 29 points due to a change in the preference of the American market; hence, it is essential to diversify the supply of mangoes exports. Measurement of the net photosynthesis response and internal CO2 concentrations can provide data on important parameters of the physiology of a variety; these have been widely used in ecophysiological studies and allow the early evaluation of germplasm. The objective of the study is to do a physiological evaluation of 8 mango varieties (Nam Doc Mai, Rosigold, Mallika, Ivory, Alphonse, Neelum, Fairchild and Kesar) recently introduced to Mexico
and 2 recently registered by INIFAP (Ataúlfo ¿Diamante¿ and Ataúlfo ¿Zafiro¿), all with export potential.
